An Illustrious Academic Background

Andy McCool holds not one, but two Master of Education degrees. The first is in Educational Leadership from Miami University, and the second is in Technology Enhanced Learning from the University of Dayton. These academic qualifications have shaped him into an educational leader who understands the nuances of pedagogy, technology, and administration, making him an invaluable asset to NCLA-CTE.

 

A Diverse Career Spanning 27 Years

Entering his 27th year in the education sector, Andy has served in a multitude of roles, each contributing to his extensive skill set. He is currently the Dean of Instruction at Laurel Oaks and has a long-standing association of 25 years with the Great Oaks Career Campuses. Over the years, he has donned various hats—Social Studies Instructor, Teaching Professions Instructor, Curriculum & Instruction, Assistant Dean, and Dean. His journey has been enriched by the mentorship of great leaders who have helped him become the educator he is today.

Andy’s passion for Career and Technical Education (CTE) is palpable. He is committed to ensuring that students have every opportunity to navigate their paths toward a successful career. As a dedicated board member of the National Council for Leadership and Career and Technical Education (NCLA-CTE), Andy employs his vast experience and insights to shape policies and initiatives that further the organization’s mission.
