    The Women in CTE Leadership Summit is a one-of-a-kind professional experience designed to bring together leaders from across the Career and Technical Education ecosystem. This intimate, high-impact NCLA event will explore how to strengthen leadership pipelines, elevate women’s voices in CTE, and accelerate innovation across secondary, postsecondary, and workforce pathways.

    The summit opens with an inspiring keynote from Dr. Jill Siler, nationally recognized leadership expert and author of Thrive Through the Five, setting the tone for two days of learning, connection, and collaborative problem-solving.

    Participants will engage with CTE leaders, educators, and industry partners while exploring strategies to increase non-traditional enrollment, expand early career exposure, and strengthen career-connected learning from elementary through high school.

    Check-in opens at 11am on March 24th and we will kick off the event at 12pm with a luncheon and opening session. The event concludes on March 25th at 2 pm.

    This summit is designed to support, empower, and elevate women leading in CTE while providing a collaborative space to share best practices, challenges, and innovations shaping the future of career pathways.

    Event Registration Changes & Cancellations

    Cancellations in this section refer to the cancellation of an event registration in its entirety.

    Cancellation Refund Policy:

    • Cancellation requests received 45 days before the event will receive a refund minus a $100 cancellation fee.
    • Cancellation requests received 30 days before the event are eligible only for a credit (less the $100 fee) toward a future event.
    • No refund for no shows. 
    • Flight cancelled, travel delays, weather related: unfortunately, we are unable to refund, however, you may send someone else in your place (minus $50 processing/badge change fee)
    • Check refunds will be processed post-event.
    • Cancellations must be sent to info@ncla-cte.org.
    • Note: We understand that life happens and unforeseen circumstances can occur. If you're unable to attend after the 30-day mark, we can transfer your registration to someone else in your organization (minus $50 processing/badge change fee). Since food and beverage minimums and other orders for the event have already been placed, we are unable to refund registrations that are 30 days or less from the event date.

    Inclement Weather Policy

    NCLA will NOT cancel an event due to inclement weather. NCLA will issue refunds to those registrants who notify us of their verifiable weather-related travel cancellation less a $100 processing fee.

    The Career Technical Education Center (CTEC)


    The Career Technical Education Center (CTEC) in Salem, Oregon, operates as a dynamic workplace environment where high school students conduct themselves as young professionals. Your team of 3-5 leaders will learn the specific strategies CTEC staff use to create a professional culture and provide explicit instruction on professional skills (i.e., soft skills, workplace readiness). 

    The CTEC team will also share specific systems and strategies for cultivating and maintaining robust industry partnerships. These partnerships create countless opportunities for high-wage employment, authentic work-based learning, and valuable donations. Participants will hear directly from leaders, staff, and industry partners as they craft their own strategies to employ in their local community.  

    CTEC exemplifies integration of CTE and core subjects with an innovative integrated curriculum model. The CTEC team has developed and fine-tuned this model over the past decade, contributing to their increase in graduation rates and student success rates on the most rigorous industry recognized credentials. 

    Finally, CTEC utilizes three primary work-based learning models to ensure all students in every one of their CTE programs performs authentic work for real customers and clients in the local community. Participants will experience a tour led by student ambassadors, hear a presentation on CTEC’s pillars delivered by students and staff, and participate in workshops sessions where members of the CTEC staff consult to help each school team apply the pillars to their own goals for their district.
